Mark your calendar for these 2010 dates WORKSHOPS – Area Workshops are held annually within each area in February provide an opportunity for members to come and learn more about PWGA. The workshop offers all members Rules sessions, handicap chairs a Handicap System session and general info to all members about our competitions and Team Play. The area workshops are also a great venue for members to meet some of the Executive Board, their area board and to network with other women from clubs within their area.

Handicap Update Starting on January 1, 2010, your monthly handicap updates will occur twice per
month, on the 1st and on the 15th. GHIN deals with about 68 associations
world-wide. Many of them are on twice-monthly index updates because
the association’s clubs are active seasonally (a winter off-season). Since
they have shorter active seasons, the members wish to be updated more frequently
than once per month. In order to simplify things, USGA has decided
that in 2011 all GHIN-associated clubs would go to twice-monthly updates.
NCGA decided to get ahead of the game and incorporate this change in 2010. And since PWGA and WGANC are so closely allied with NCGA, our two women’s associations also have chosen to make the change as of January 2010.
